The Crossing
of the Andes

In June 1930, caught in a storm over the Andes, Henri Guillaumet crashes and sets out alone, moving step by step through cold, altitude, and exhaustion, driven purely
by the will to survive.

Nearly a century later, photographer and explorer Thomas Goisque follows that same route across the mountains, facing the same silence. In such uncertain conditions,
time becomes a tool, and this is where the 1930 belongs. Designed for maximum clarity
with bold numerals, high contrast, and an oversized crown inspired by early aviation watches, it stands out with its aventurine dial. The dial captures the sky itself: deep, shifting,
almost infinite, where light glimmers across its surface like stars at altitude.

« Ce que j'ai fait, je te le jure, aucune bête ne l'aurait fait. »
