The Type 20 chronograph had to feature a black dial with two or three counters. Its hour and minute hands, in Arabic numerals, had to be luminescent. The case of the Type 20 had to have a diameter of approximately 38 millimeters and a thickness of less than 14 millimeters. This pilot's watch had to be equipped with a bidirectional rotating bezel with a marker. Finally, its precision had to be within 8 seconds per day, and its power reserve had to be at least 35 hours.
